Life was never meant to be easy.  But God did not send you into the world unprepared. He equipped you with a weapon to cut down adversity, negative thoughts, and temptation. He empowered you to grow in faith, hope, love, and peace. When He gave us His Word, He gave us both a sword and a seed.

WHY

When we memorize Scripture, God’s Word strengthens our faith, shapes how we live each day, and gives us the tools we need when we face difficulties.
 Challenge yourself to build a lifelong habit of hiding God’s Word in your heart, where it can bear fruit for years to come.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Memorize the verse in any translation.
  • Stop by a Memorization Station before or after service. (Just look for the Swords & Seeds banner in the Atrium!)
  • Say the verse and receive your prize.
  • Feel free to use your letter card or quote the "essence" of the verse.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • Write out the Bible verse on notecards or post-its.
  • Put the verse somewhere you’ll see it often.
  • Keep it with you and review it during the day.
  • Review for the full 8 weeks to make it stick!

GO DEEPER IN GOD'S WORD ON WEDNESDAYS!

This winter, Wednesday nights will look a little different as we come together for one shared class each week. If you’re looking to go deeper with the message from Sunday and grow alongside others, this class is for you. We will focus on the importance of God’s Word; memorizing Scripture, understanding its meaning, and remembering why it matters in everyday life. Join us for meaningful discussion, deeper engagement, and stronger connection.
(Regular Kids & Youth Ministries will still be available.)
