Counseling:
Calvary's Pastoral Counseling Ministry
is unique in that it is dedicated to reaching out to the lost, discipling
and teaching the believer, and counseling those who are struggling with
life's trials and circumstances.
Only biblically based materials are used to supplement God's Word
in counseling those in need; and counselees are assisted in pursuing
a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, developing a prayer and devotional
life, and turning to God's Word and the counsel of His Holy Spirit
for direction and guidance.
Biblical Pastoral Counseling is offered to regular attenders
and members of Calvary Assembly of God, and referrals are made to outside health
care professionals if necessary. The pastoral counselor on staff,
Sue Bucher, has been trained in Pastoral Counseling at
Emerge Ministries' Institute for Pastoral Counseling, and through seminars
conducted by the Biblical Counseling Foundation and the National Association
of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC).
